although matt is blind, he has heightened senses far beyond a regular human's. which means that he can often pick up minute details about people - he can tell that foggy had onions for lunch two days ago apparently. he can tell when someone is lying to him or when they're unconscious or faking it by listening to their heartbeats. stuff like that.

so this post is basically me asking for any sensory details about your character that you can provide. nothing is too small or weird. does your character wear a ton of leather or own a stinky cat? do they walk a little strangely or have an irregular heartbeat? do they wear aftershave or perfume? please list it! I'd appreciate it a lot. Alternatively, if there's something you wouldn't like matt to pick up on, let me know here and I'll have the drabwurld run interference with his senses or something. no explanation needed. thank you!

Not sure how familiar you are with the Tween Vampire Diaries of Tweeny Dorkfaces, but I'll give you a little rundown on what he'd be able to pick up.

• Sounds:
  • Damon's heartbeat is at about a quarter of the speed of the average human's.
  • When he goes vamp speed, he'd probably hear wind whipping by or... I dunno. Fast people stuff. >>
  • He might hear the sound of the veins moving near his eyes or how his fangs change his speech a bit when he vamps out
• Scents
  • Leather
  • Scotch and/or bourbon (mostly scotch since he has a flask of it)
  • Salvadore Dali cologne (picked up from the Station)
  • Blood (depending on how recently he's fed would be how strong the scent was
  • Feathers (he has a raven familiar who perches on him, so whatever birds smell like, he'd pick up on that)

Depending on where they are/where Damon's been, there might be other scents, like his pet varren, his worms, Fernando, spring water, blah blah, but if it's something like that, I'll make a note of it in any tags (and you're always free to poke at me, just in case).

Edit: Oh, right. And he can probably pick up that Damon might run a bit colder than the average human as well.

Matt's definitely welcome to anything for Johnny -- but more specifically the constant, faint smell of ash on him :)

He'd also, very often, smell faintly like Jack Benjamin, the boyfriend. So... yes.

You know Connor pretty well in terms of canon familiarity! A lot of what Matt might pick up in the beginning would probably fade with time (cologne, expensive leather, hairgel) so I'll be sure to be fairly detailed when you need it c: ♥

Okay, this is going to be a load of fun.

Loki's an Asgardian god, he has a tissue density of around 3x of that of any normal person—he weighs around 450 lbs. Because of this, he has a "heavier" set and sort of bends reality as he's a mythological being and all. It can be felt as a disorienting, heavier presence. Despite that, he's surprisingly light on his feet because he's a dirty sneak. There's probably a jingle-jangle of the useless buckles on his coat, and whatever's in his pockets (which tends to vary on whatever he can lift/whatever he's taking with him).

His lies are mostly exaggerations/omission rather than outright statements, but I'll let you know if there's a change physiologically.

i'm not canon familiar but katsa has a canonmate with a very similar situation to matt's! that one comes with a few more slightly supernatural details, but she's very accustomed to having him pick up on minute details, so that's no problem for matt either. the only thing i might add is that she also knows how to close herself off from letting other people detect things like emotions/lies because of that, so she might try the same thing with matt if that's all right!

katsa will probably smell a lot like horse, wet grass and leather; her hands and arms might smell like metal from sword training and the knives she keeps under her clothes also. i'll make sure to leave anything else in brackets tags if it seems necessary.
